Chamonix-Zermatt on skis
One of the most beautiful classics in ski touring, linking two capitals of mountaineering: Chamonix and Zermatt. From Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn, these are the most beautiful 4000s that we encounter along these six unforgettable stages in the high mountains!

- Day 1 Au départ du sommet de la télécabine de Bochard (2766m), courte _cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_downhill ski crossing to reach the Lognan Glacier (2 700m). We then climb via the Col des Rachasses to the Glacier des Rognons (3,050m). Very nice descent to the Argentière Glacier (2,550m) where we put on the skins to reach the Argentière refuge _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_(2,771m), under the imposing north faces. At the refuge, take a look at the basic mountaineering techniques (crampons) and safety (rescue _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136_badavalanche). Positive elevation: 575m / Negative elevation: 750m
- Day 2Ascent on skis to the foot of the Col du Passon (3,028m) which you cross with crampons. We then descend under the north face of the Chardonnet, then put on the skins to cross the Col Supérieur du Tour and reach the Col Supérieur du Tour Tower (3 289m). We pass in Switzerland, descend the long Glacier de Trient, pass by a short technical climb in crampons the Col des Ecandies _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136d_bad5 2,796m). Last magnificent descent in the Val d'Arpette, to village of Champex (1,480m).Night in a lodge. Positive elevation: 1,100m / Negative elevation: 1850m
- Day 3Transfer by minibus to the station de Verbier. We take the ski lifts to reach the foot of the Col de la Chaux (2,940 m), first climb of the day. We follow with the Col de Momin (3,003 m), from where we reach the Glacier du Grand Désert. The route passes at the foot of the Rosablanche (3,336m) that we can climb on a round trip. Descent to the hut of Prafleuri (2,662m).Night in refuge. Positive elevation: 700m / Negative elevation: 900m
- Day 4First short climb to the Col des Roux (2,804m) from where we can see the rest of the day's itinerary. A descending long crossing to the end of the Lac des Dix then a climbed by the Pas du 90-bb34c7 _90-bb3457 -136bad5cf58d_Chat (2,385m) to the Dix hut (2,928m) dominated by Mont Blanc de Cheilon (3,869m).Night in refuge. Positive elevation: 850m / Negative elevation: 400m
- Day 5 The day begins with a short descent to the Tsena Refien Glacier. We go up it to the Pigne d'Arolla (3,796m), where we may put the crampons at the passage of the Serpentine around 3600m. From Pigne d'Arolla, the panorama over the Alps is one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Haute Route. Nice descent to the Vignettes hut (3,160m).Night in refuge. Positive elevation: 1,000m / Negative elevation: 640m
- Day 6 We go up the Mont glacier Collons to Col de l'Evêque (3,392m). From there, descent on the Haut Glacier d'Arolla to the Virgin where we put the skins back on for joindre Col du Mont Brulé (3,213m), from which we let's go up the last slopes with crampons. A short descent, and we continue with Col de Valpelline (3,554m), the last high point of our raid! We set off on our descent to Zermatt skiing under the Dent d'Hérens (4 178m4) ); a magnificent descent and unique in the Alps. Arrival in Zermatt in the middle of the afternoon.Return by taxi to Chamonix. Positive elevation: 1,130m / Negative elevation: 2,730m
