5-day mountaineering initiation course

D1 - Climbing school The climbing school will allow us to get to grips with the basic mountaineering equipment: harness, belayer, helmet. We can also train ourselves, in big shoes, to climb on easy climbing routes, and also understand height and emptiness! A necessary passage to calmly consider our next ascent. D2 - Ice school The next day, it is the use of crampons and ice ax that we get down to. We learn to walk with crampons in "ten points", to go up and down ice slopes, to cross them. When the wall becomes too steep, we go forward, and it's time to use the "traction ice axe" technique! In the evening, ascent to a refuge for our summit the next day. D3 - Ascent of a summit for the day After two days of technical preparation, we can take advantage of what we have learned to embark on the ascent of a first summit! An easy route, which allows us to warm up and make our first entry into the world of high mountains. D4 and 5 - Two summits from the refuge From the same refuge, we leave these two days at night, for two different summits . Discovery of the characteristic atmosphere of early mornings in refuges and high mountains. We go up the slopes of snow and ice, climb easy rocky ridges before reaching the summit by a few climbing steps.
