Glacier crossing in the Oberland Vaudois

D1 - Flaferalp (1784m) - Hollandiahütte (3154m)

The first day, trip   to Gampel where we leave the car. We then reach the village of Blatten by  bus, where our crossing begins. We go up   the valley then the glacier to the Lötschenlücke then to the refuge  Hollandiahütte.

D2 - Hollandiahütte - Äbni Flue (3961m) - Konkordiahütte (2850m)

From the refuge, we climb   via the glacier to Äbni Flue, the first summit at almost 4000m! Nous  redescendons ensuite l'immense vallée glaciaire et traversons  Konkordiaplatz, point de jonction d'interminables glaciers dont _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_notably the Aletsch glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. Overnight at  Konkordiahütte.

D3 - Konkordiahütte (2850m) - Hinteres-Fiescherhorn (4025m) - Finsteraarhornhütte (3051m)

We start at a good  heure going up the Ewigschneefeld to the Fieschersattel, saddle  glaciaire under the Fiescherhorn. A lift with skis on the bag,   ice ax and crampons is necessary. Once on the  glaciaire plateau, we put the skis back in the direction of the summit of our raid at  4025m. Descend via  Waliser Fischerfirn to  Finsteraarhornhütte.

D4 - Finsteraarhornhütte (3051m) - Oberaarhorn (3631m) - Oberaarjochhütte (3255m)

The refuge  is under   the imposing Finsteraarhorn, the highest point in the Bernese Alps at 4274m.   We go around it from the south and still go up large glaciers,   pass by the Oberaarjochhütte refuge and climb the _cc781905-5cde-3194-6badarhorn justOberaardObera5b-18 above. Night at the shelter.

D5 - Oberaarjochhütte (3255m) - Vorderes Galmihorn (3507m) - Bächilicke - Münster

Last day of our  crossing, we go downhill from the refuge  to reach the  Galmigletscher slightly below. We put on the skins to   go up to the Vorderes Galmihorn from where we find a superb panorama   over the Valais. Farewell Oberland, we descend by the Bächilicke   to Münster.
